The Željava Air Base Half Marathon is a road running race with a total length of 21.098 km. The start and finish lines are located in the village of Željava, right next to the legendary Douglas C47 Skytrain Dakota aircraft in Croatia. The race starts on Saturday, 2 May 2026 at 10:00. The course runs mostly along the abandoned runway of the former military airbase, making it exceptionally flat and fast.

All healthy participants may take part and all run at their own risk. By registering for the race, each participant waives the right to transfer responsibility to the organizer and confirms their health condition and readiness to complete the race. Medical support is provided in accordance with the rules for organizing road running events.

Participants aged 16 and above on the day of the race may take part in the half marathon. Persons younger than 16 are not allowed to participate in the half marathon. By registering, the participant agrees that the organizer may use photographs taken during, before, and after the race for internal purposes and for event promotion. The participant also agrees that the organizer may use their personal data for internal communication and promotional purposes.

Refreshment stations are provided along the course according to road racing rules, and refreshments may only be taken at designated points and in the finish area. Additional refreshments are available in the finish area. Timing is electronic using chips, and all results will be published immediately after the race on the website www.utrka.com. All participants will have both net time (chip start) and gross time (time from the starter’s signal to crossing the finish line). The official ranking is based on gross time in accordance with World Athletics rules.

The top three overall men and women receive trophies, medals, and special gifts.

In addition to the half marathon and 10 km events, a FUN RUN of 3.5 km will be held. The starter pack for this race includes the same items as the starter pack for the half marathon and 10 km. In the FUN RUN and 10 km races, the top three overall men and women are awarded medals.
