3. CATEGORIES AND MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS

• HALF MARATHON

The minimum age to participate in the half marathon is 18 years. Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate.

CATEGORIES:

• Women: WU23, WS, W35, W40, W45, W50, W55, W60, W65, W70+
• Men: MU23, MS, M35, M40, M45, M50, M55, M60, M65, M70+

• 10 KM RACE (OMIŠ 10k)

The minimum age to participate in the 10 km race is 18 years. Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate.

• RECREATIONAL 5 KM RACE

All underage participants must have a signed parental/guardian consent form, and those younger than 12 must also provide a certificate from a sports medicine doctor. These documents must be submitted during race registration.

The organizer provides cash prizes for the half marathon. Cash prizes are awarded to absolute winners in the following amounts:

5th place 50.00 EUR

All cash prize winners will receive information at the awards ceremony containing the required data they must send to: omishalf@gmail.com for prize payment.

HALF MARATHON

Free entry fees
The organizer provides free entry fees for last year’s top three overall W/M half marathon runners (6 entries total).

Free entry fees and accommodation
Additionally, the organizer provides 3 packages including the entry fee and one night of accommodation for 2 persons for runners meeting qualification times.

Interested runners who meet the requirements must send a request with proof by 14 March 2024 to: omishalf@gmail.com.
After this deadline, the organizer may issue invitations up to the limit (3).

Qualification times:

Women < 1:25
Men < 1:18

Packages are filled in the order of applications (first 3 who qualify).

• DISCOUNT FOR GROUP REGISTRATION

Group registration applies to 10 or more members participating in any category.
A 20% discount is granted on the total group entry fee at the moment of payment.

The discount is granted only after prior notice to: omishalf@gmail.com, including payment confirmation, names of competitors, and the race each one is entering.

• CHANGES TO REGISTRATIONS, REFUNDS AND TRANSFER OF ENTRY FEES

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to future races.

Until 07 May 2026, it is possible to transfer an entry fee to another registered participant with mandatory email notification to omishalf@gmail.com.

After 07 May 2026, transfers are not possible.

Category changes are not allowed except in specific cases—participants must contact the organizer at omishalf@gmail.com.

6. LIMITATIONS

TIME LIMITS

Half Marathon: 2:30 hours
10 km Race: 1:30 hours
5 km Race: 45 minutes

7. AWARDS CEREMONY

The awards ceremony will take place at 11:00 at Poljički Square.

8. SAFETY

The race course is fully closed to traffic and secured by volunteers, security staff, and police officers.

Emergency medical services are present at the start/finish area, and a vehicle is available along the course for transport of injured or withdrawn participants.

Starter packs differ for each race. The full starter pack is guaranteed for all participants who register and pay by 07 May 2026.

10. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The organizer reserves the right to modify certain elements of the event.
All changes will be published on: https://hr-hr.facebook.com/omiskipolumaraton/

Participants will receive an email with key information (schedule, starter pack pickup, free parking, etc.) no later than race day.

The race bib must be placed on the chest and remain visible throughout the race.
The competitor must have the assigned chip along with the bib; otherwise, their result will not be recorded.

ORGANIZER LIABILITY WAIVER

By registering and participating, all runners accept the following conditions:

• The runner confirms they participate solely at their own risk.
• The participant accepts that the Organizer is not responsible for any form of damage caused directly or indirectly, before, during, or after the race, resulting from their own negligence or the negligence of other participants or third parties.
• The participant is responsible for any damage caused to third parties due to their own negligence or fault.
• The participant must respect all officially published rules, safety instructions, and directions issued by organizers, judges, stewards, and on-course staff before, during, and after the race.
• The participant waives the right to legally claim compensation from the Organizer for any damages arising from participation.

CONSENT FOR USE OF PERSONAL DATA AND PHOTOGRAPHS

All personal data from registration will be used exclusively for the execution and organization of the “Omiš Half Marathon,” in accordance with the EU GDPR and Croatian law, with appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. Data will not be disclosed to third parties and will be deleted after the event.

By registering, the participant agrees that the organizer may use photos taken before, during, and after the race for internal purposes and event promotion.
